Developer YTL Developments is delivering a purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme at Brabazon, its new neighbourhood being built in North Bristol, comprising 1,514 student beds across four eight-storey blocks. 

The scheme forms part of Brabazon, one of the UK's largest and most ambitious urban regeneration projects, on a multi-billion pound, 380-acre brownfield site being transformed into a new city district. The student accommodation is being delivered in two phases, with Phase 1 comprising Blocks A and B (745 beds) and Phase 2 comprising Blocks C and D (769 beds). 

The wider masterplan includes over 6,500 new homes and 86 acres of public squares, parks and playing fields, alongside 3.7 million square feet of commercial space expected to support up to 30,000 jobs, with more than £100 million being invested in sustainable transport infrastructure. At the heart of the scheme will be the YTL Arena Bristol, a 19,500-capacity venue created from the historic hangars where Concorde was built. 

YTL Developments has appointed Rund as Independent Certifier on the project, providing oversight and quality assurance throughout construction. Mastic Works will be carrying out the mastic works on the development to two of the blocks.
